CyberSecurity Malaysia, recognised as Malaysia’s primary cybersecurity technical agency, is embarking on a significant trajectory with the initiation of the Cyber Security Technology Roadmap: Cybersecurity Malaysia Framework 2024-2029.
Guided by Ts Dr. Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar, leading a team of accomplished cybersecurity experts primarily from the Razak Faculty of Technology and Informatics, this initiative, launched in June 2023, is geared towards providing the organisation with a strategic framework for the next five years.
The overarching goal of this roadmap is to offer CyberSecurity Malaysia a comprehensive plan that delineates a clear path for the organisation to realise its vision and mission. This involves an in-depth analysis of the current technology landscape, the identification of strategic themes, the development of a strategic map, and the definition of strategic initiatives.
Integral to the roadmap’s success are key activities, including assessing the existing business and technology environment, identifying services based on end-to-end solutions and customer needs, mapping the data implicated in the service ecosystem, recognising internal and external application integration, defining the strategic direction of digitisation, and crafting the Cyber Security Technology Roadmap.
This roadmap signifies a pivotal step forward for Cybersecurity Malaysia, positioning itself as a key player in the nation’s cybersecurity landscape. It not only provides a meticulous plan for the organisation’s future but also ensures that it maintains its leadership in cybersecurity technology, delivering resilient and effective cybersecurity solutions for Malaysia. Beyond the leadership of Ts Dr Nur Azaliah Abu Bakar, the project team is composed of other experts.
